1967 Erwin Hymer Eriba Triton

 ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT!

  Price: $31,499

Fully restored to modern standards including USB charger ports!

Step into timeless style with this beautifully restored 1967 Eriba Triton, a true piece of European camping history. Built by Erwin Hymer in Germany, the Eriba Triton is renowned for its lightweight design, durable construction, and unmistakable vintage charm and this example takes it to the next level.

These trailers are light enough to be towed by a 4 cylinder car. Recall what was available in the late 1960’s in Europe. Estimated to weigh approximately 635 kg (or 1,400 pounds) when loaded. That light, even a Toyota RAV4 or Ford Escape could tow it!

Finished in an automotive paint with a period correct Butternut Yellow. This trailer draws attention wherever it goes. Whether you’re hitting the road, parking at a lakeside campsite, or showcasing at events, this Eriba is guaranteed to stand out.

Highlights:

  • Fully restored – inside and out
  • Iconic aircraft-inspired aluminum body construction
  • Lightweight & easy to tow – perfect for modern and classic vehicles alike
  • Classic European design with pop-top roof functionality
  • Fresh exterior finish in a period-correct retro colour of  Butternut Yellow
  • Clean, straight body with excellent fit and finish
  • Vintage details preserved with thoughtful restoration touches

Numerous upgrades during the restoration, including but not limited to:

  • Custom front window made of Rockglass.
  • All other windows are flush mount custom tinted windows.
  • Trailer is aircraft construction (tubular steel frame wrapped in aluminum) similar to an Airstream.
  • Trailer was originally a dual dinette. Converted the rear dinette to a permanent bed with front interior storage and porta-potty and rear accessible storage with spare tire.
  • Trailer was converted from 240 volt power to 120 volt and a 12 volt power converter was added to charge the AGM on board battery and run the new 12 volt led interior lights.
  • Interior 12 V USB chargers added at bedside and interior and exterior GFI plugs were also added.
  • Brand new custom upholstery and curtains.
  • Tire rims are powder coated and fixed with new radial tires.
  • Butane gas system was converted to propane. Trailer can accommodate either a 20 lb or 30 lb tank.
  • New custom canvas with better ventilation for pop-top.
  • Demand water pump with new tank was added.

The trailer was designed for the 1960's European camping culture. It has been functonally converted to the new North American camping culture but keeping the timeless exterior and interior cabinetry.
